WHO WE ARE

Our Preschool program seeks to enable children to manage their own learning and we mediate so that they can realize their full emotional, cognitive, physical and social development.

We provide children with the necessary experiences and tools to develop their skills, tastes, competences and grow to their fullest potential in a warm and supportive environment.

Play is THE star in our everyday activities since we are convinced of its vital role in promoting children’s healthy development.

Happy Day is a plural and non-faith preschool that embraces and respects religious and cultural diversity.

The essential foundation of Happy Day is the emotional well-being and development of all our children, in which promoting each child’s self-esteem, and creating emotional bonds based on care and respect is a priority in the learning process.

Family is the principle pillar of our preschool; we ensure smooth and open communication and develop strong working relationships between parents and practitioners to support our project.

OUR HISTORY

ico-historia

The story of HAPPY DAY began with the search for a preschool for my younger son.

I could not find a place that brought together all my requirements: safety, bespoke infrastructure for a preschool, a suitable group of educators that loved their profession; a place where children and their full development was the most important, where bonds of confidence, respect and love would be created; a place that was the continuation of home. The place I was looking for would be fertile ground to sow wonderful teachings and foster children with high self-esteem, autonomous, creative and self-confident.

As my expectations were so high… I decided to get to work and create the place which today is called HAPPY DAY.

So the years passed, we acquired ever more experience, we trained continuously, we learnt to leave behind old traditional teaching models and focus on our children as the center of learning, so that each educational goal would be significant for them and they would always be motivated to explore, propose, choose and decide… and that play was the means for learning and we were the facilitators of this.

Today, after 26 years, I can confirm that just as my son grew up and became a wonderful man, so too my preschool grew and became a magical place where, as educators, we can affirm that we chose our vocation well by having accompanied more than 2,500 children through the wonderful and unique stage of life that is childhood… leaving our love as permanent traces in each one of them.
